A tough, challenging session for smart people wishing to accelerate their job search or pass a promotion panel.  

Up to four hours of high-intensity thinking to help you explore what it is you have to offer a potential employer and sharpen up your pitch in a competitive, digital job market. 

Successful candidates are specific about what they do and are both good and visible in their sector.  They create their own opportunities, not compete with everyone else.  Don’t be overtaken by someone with less talent but more chutzpah.  I’ll help you to crystallise your story and then show you how to describe your value, even if you naturally dislike selling yourself.  Remember my Mind Flip philosophy that success isn’t about you, it’s about what you can do for others.

What problems can you, uniquely, solve and who has those problems? 

This session will help you to define your value proposition/personal brand and become more focused in your search. You will articulate your career narrative more confidently on your CV, LinkedIn profile, in direct applications and every networking opportunity you create. This will help you to tap into the ‘hidden job market’ by creating opportunities for yourself rather than applying for the same roles as everyone else. You will understand how to appeal to both recruiters and direct employers and position yourself exclusively.  You will leave much clearer on the solution that you, uniquely, offer potential employers or users of your consultancy services and this will transform your approach to interviews.  You will also have an action plan of how to proceed, in the most effective and smart way possible.  If possible I will make introductions to my network, if appropriate, and can certainly ensure you are talking to the right head-hunters/recruiters.

Suitable for senior executives who want to get promoted or land a new role externally.  The agenda for the session will be defined by you, but usually includes: 

  • Identifying your preferred next step and your longer-term goals
  • Clarity on your personal brand and how you will differentiate yourself against the rest of the short-list 
  • Identifying the difference between average and high performance in the role you aspire and nailing the latter
  • Creating new opportunities and building your networks
  • Managing your impact
  • Gaps in your skills and experience against your peers 
  • Succeeding in competitive interview processes or internal promotion assessments.
  • Objective feedback on your blindspots and potential de-railers  (such as micro-managing, resistance to change, lack of support networks, unrestrained ego, overused strengths)
  • How to ask for what you want – including negotiating a pay rise.

 

We will work on your LinkedIn profile together and make CV edits if necessary too, so bring your laptop and feel free to record the session.  You will leave feeling in control of your career, with clear goals and a strategy for achieving them.  

COST: £975.00 plus VAT, includes a copy of Mind Flip: Take the Fear out of your Career  PLUS a 60 minute follow-up call, usually taken within four weeks after the session
